Who is in need of salvation?
The Bible tells us in Romans 3:10 “…There is none righteous, no, not one:” This means we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s standard. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
What is the punishment for our sin?
Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ Our Lord.”
All have sinned and that sin leads to death and separation from God. But God doesn’t leave us without hope. There is good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ death on the cross was the punishment for our sins. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Where do I go from here?
Salvation is not something we can achieve on our own. Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourself: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Salvation is God’s free gift to all of us.
How do we receive God’s gift of salvation?
Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Here is a simple prayer to accept the Lord Jesus as your Savior:
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe you died and rose from the grave that I may have eternal life. I ask you to forgive my sins and save me. You said, whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. I accept Your free gift of eternal life. Thank you for saving me and making me Your child.
